AP lauds Centre’s carbon credit scheme
Andhra Pradesh will fully support the Government of India’s major initiative of carbon credit trading scheme-conceptualised on a market-based approach to reduce greenhouse gases (GHG) emissions in the environment and mitigate the adverse effects of climate change.

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh will fully support the Government of India’s major initiative of carbon credit trading scheme-conceptualised on a market-based approach to reduce greenhouse gases (GHG) emissions in the environment and mitigate the adverse effects of climate change.
While welcoming the carbon market and carbon credit concept that will not only have a major impact on reducing carbon emissions but also create an opportunity for individuals, companies and other organisations to reduce or eliminate their carbon footprint, AP Chief Secretary K S Jawahar Reddy said the carbon credits trading will undoubtedly be a great boon to deal with global warming.
